UCEL Inc. will create 25 new, good-paying jobs in Uxbridge

With the support of Hon. Peter Bethlenfalvy, MPP and Dave Barton, Mayor of Uxbridge, The Ontario government is supporting an investment of $10,821,714 by UCEL Inc. to boost local manufacturing and create 25 new, good-paying jobs in Uxbridge.

This funding was announced today by Peter Bethlenfalvy, Member of Provincial Parliament for Pickering-Uxbridge.

“Our government is building a vibrant Ontario and creating the conditions for a strong economy by supporting key investments in our community,” said MPP Peter Bethlenfalvy. “UCEL Inc.’s investment will boost the local manufacturing sector and create more good-paying jobs for workers and families in Uxbridge.”

“With this investment, UCEL will expand their operations and adopt new technologies that will allow them to offer new elevator system supporting solutions. The investment will also see UCEL bring additional manufacturing capabilities in-house, reshoring specific work currently outsourced overseas and create skilled jobs that will increase the company’s competitiveness in North America.”

In support of their investment, Ontario is providing UCEL Inc. with $1,390,793 in funding through the Regional Development Program’s Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness (AMIC) Stream.
