Service Contracts – BMUs
For 60 years, UCEL has been completely unmatched in both product and services supplied to our clients. Our advanced knowledge and experience dealing with premium vertical access equipment extends to our elite fleet of BMUs.
We have local manufacturer-trained technicians that work alongside our highly technically and mechanically trained service teams to provide thorough maintenance and quick service of our BMU machines. Planned maintenance based on your machine use schedules will keep the unit in peak condition, giving workers using it peace of mind. Our teams have fully stocked trucks with all the tools needed to perform quick diagnostics and regular service.
Parts are either in stock or non-proprietary so we can source them quickly and reliably, keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.
Annual Service
The annual service includes but is not limited to the following:
- Complete safety check
- Check and test all limit and safety switches
- Test and adjust overspeed brake system and issue letter
- Check oil level on every gearbox in the BMU and add oil accordingly
- Inspect all gear, sheaves and pulleys for wear beyond manufacturer specifications
- Visual inspection of all major components for cracks on welds, frames etc
- Inspect level wind system for proper operation
- Inspect all electrical enclosures, connections and gaskets
- Inspect all wire rope connections, fitting and overall conditions
- Inspect vertical stabilization system (ISA’s or mullion grabbers)
