Our company and employees take pride in our new custom building, which we moved into in 2018 after a three-year design-build process. The facility includes various amenities to support our staff and operations. These amenities feature a staff kitchen, locker room, classroom, teleconferencing boardroom, barbecuing patio, and a soccer practice pitch, ensuring a comprehensive and comfortable working environment.
Construction Hoist Training Centre
In 2018 UCEL moved into a custom-built new facility near Uxbridge, Ontario. With over 20,000 square feet and 3 acres at our disposal; equipped with an indoor elevator test tower and a hoist training facility, we have taken our business to the next level.

The Facility
Indoor Test Tower
Our custom-made 60-foot tall test tower, situated inside our shop and accessible by our two overhead gantry cranes, is a cornerstone of our operations. This tower is utilized for hoist training and full-load, high-speed equipment testing year-round. It enables us to train our mechanics to the highest standards, ensuring our equipment is always in excellent condition before deployment to client job sites.
Comprehensive Hoist Training Program
Several times per year, we host engineers from our manufacturing partners to conduct construction hoist training classes for both our mechanics and those of our clients. These sessions, combined with our test tower, enable us to provide the highest quality hoist training available in the industry. Our comprehensive construction hoist training programs are designed to keep our mechanics well-versed in the latest technologies and practices.
Enhanced Training Opportunities Through Hoist Training
In addition to technical sessions, our facility regularly offers expanded opportunities for hands-on hoist training, allowing trainees to simulate real-world job site scenarios. Custom Fabrication
Our team includes permanent welder/fitters, machinists, motor technician and electronics specialists in addition to elevator mechanics and electricians so we are able to tackle any project with diverse and demanding custom-fabrication needs on short timelines.
